How do I get started?

2

Getting started is simple. Reach out through our contact form or schedule a call—we’ll walk you through the next steps and answer any questions along the way. Please have handy a copy of your property survey, a flood elevation certificate (if in a flood zone), and a soil boring or geotechnical report (if new construction) at the initial consultation.

What is the process?

3

Once a contract has been signed, we will make an appointment to come to your space and document the existing structure. If this is a new construction, we will begin designing immediately. When we are ready to meet with a preliminary design, we will make an appointment to meet in person at our office. Clients will leave with a set to review on their own so they can provide us with feedback, questions, or revisions. We meet as much as you like until the design meets the Client’s approval. Upon approval, we begin producing the Construction Documents. This is a complete set of construction drawings for the Contractor(s) to bid on, and the town to approve for a building permit. Certain towns may require a grading and drainage plan. This would be the optimal time to get a Civil Engineer on board. Once the Contractor is selected and the drawings are complete, the Contractor will submit all required documents (signed and sealed) to the town for zoning and building review. Any questions or revisions required by the town in reference to the architectural drawings, will be answered by our office via letter or revised drawing. Once a permit has been issued, our job does not end there. We are available for questions and, if needed, site visits during the entire construction process.
